Sharndell discovered her love for baking while she was managing IT projects. In 2013, she was able to turn that passion into a business with the support of her family, friends, and the community. She’s thankful for all of her customers that encouraged her to go from baking in her home to operating a dessert food truck to opening a storefront.

I live in Salt Lake City, UT. I ordered a dozen chocolate chip cookies from Cupcake and a Smile. It took about a week... for me to get the cookies only because I'm too cheap to pay for express shipping.

When the cookies arrived I didn't know what to expect. When I opened the package not one of the cookies was broken and they were as soft and moist as the day they were baked.

I can only review the chocolate cupcake since I did not try any other flavor. The chocolate was rather bland and did not taste like chocolate, just tasted like regular sponge cake. The icing was sweeter/more full bodied than the cupcake. And they are small, only about four bites so at $3.25, overpriced.

Had one of their chocolate cupcakes, boy was it delicious! The cake was moist and perfectly sweet. The cream on top was fluffy and light. I need to try more flavors but if they’re anything like the chocolate ones I’m sure they’re amazing!

Tried the strawberry cupcake and it was to die for! Hands down best strawberry cupcake I’ve ever had. Flavor was strong and the cake was moist. Much better than the typical big box cupcake stores. Can’t wait for my next cupcake!
